Try covering the sticky bit in impact adhesive or some other damn strong glue...? ;D

buy a small piece of vinyl, and recover, it might even be cheaper than 2 rolls of gaffer/duck

When ducktape goes warm (from your ) it goes abit dodgy anyway, tried it on mine.

It also has a habit of coming off over 60mph. I know this because my sunroof is leaky, so I taped around it. Ripped off and made a pitter patter, or rather a drum tattoo, and the was gone...

Buy a picknick blanket and wrap the whole seat in it. Like that Vauxhall Nova / Opel Corsa sedan which is shown here every now and then.

100mph tape, although moisture can get the better of most cloth tapes

The warmth and movement of your will loosen the glue, as will leaving it in sunshine or rain. Ducktape is not the best stuff to use, all that will happen is a temporary repair and sticky marks on your backside (ooer missus). You can buy new seat covers for about £20, or as mentioned scrounge some vinyl and recover it yourself.

Could try using it with some cycle puncture repair glue. Desighned for sticking rubber (or plastic substitue) and can with-stand pressure of over 100psi so should be able to cope with you sitting on it and doing a fair few mph. Also happens to be waterproof; bonus!
