The Minx is wearing a set of what I was told are 105E Anglia wheels, 13 x 3.5 I think. These in fact. I was wondering if there were wider ones available other than Lotus rims (which would be too expensive I expect). Lotus are 5.5 aren't they? Were 4.5's or 5s fitted to anything originally? Don't want anything newer looking by the way, so no dartboards/rostyles etc Google search for wide steel wheel ;D

I think most of those style rims on escorts were pretty narrow, ours came with 155's on and they weren't stretched, might be cheaper to get your centres fitted into 5.5j Mex/RS2000 steel rims? (I think capri Lasers had some widish steels as well)

Pretty sure standard Anglia wheels are 4.5J not 3.5. Lotus ones are 5.5J and there's a super rare expensive 6J.
Escorts came with 12" steel wheels as well.

Capri Lasers had a 5.5j steel rim that looks like an early FWD Escort rim. There is also a plain non-dartboard/tinnilite rim that was used on MKII Escorts, Cortinas and Capris which I think was a 5j. MKII XR2s came with a steel rim as standard instead of a Pepperpot that must have been quite wide 5.5-6j too but I'd imagine they are quite rare.
Later Escorts had a 5x5 x 14" if you don't mind going up a rim size. They look like a scaled up version of the plain MKII Escort rim.

Mk1 Cortina GTsand Corsair GTs had 41/2s and Mk2 GTs had 5s. There were also Weller Colts in many widths up to 10j if you can find any.

Early-70's Escort Sports were fitted with 5" wide standard steels...they do have holes round the outside though, like Escort Mexico steels did, only with less dish.
Later Mk2 Escorts had a wide-offset 5" rim as already stated, but I think they'd probably be too offset for your Arrow They had almost as much dish as a Lotus rim, only with less overall width.

Thanks for all the info. Really wouldn't want anything with holes. Just something like the ones I've got but a bit wider. May just keep my eye out over the summer.

drum braked escorts came with (I think) 4.5x12 plain fronted steels (of which I have a set of 4 with hubcaps.... I think ) IIRC they look pretty similar to those anglia ones that your running at the moment, but I can double check when I get home tonight if you want

My ex's 1300XL had 12" rims and teeny tiny disc brakes that did fit behind them when we first bought it.

try corsair wheels or even standard cortina wheels for 4.5"x13.
Standard fitment Anglia rims were 3.5" though certain spec models were fitted with 4" namely some vans and estates.

Thanks KenB Hmm, wonder if Imperal has the rims off his Corsair. I think I'd have serious scrub line issues even if 12"ers did fit. Just thinking about a second set done in a slightly different way.
