Here's a thing......
My Ambulance is way too high at the back. I have a double leaf spring with the axle mounted under it. The shock absorber mounts point downwards and I had to order the longest shocks possible from Adrian Bailey.
Saw an axle on ebay the other day and the shock mounts pointed upwards. It was off the van on a pallet, so it's possible it might be upside down! It occurred to me though that mine might be. Or even if it's not, what if I turned it upside down? It would mount on top of the springs then and the shock mounts would point upwards. Would that work or would the brakes be all backwards and not work? What's anyone reckon?

Hmm ok, so the van will need arches..... what are the wheel dimensions and tyre sizes?
RE diff, I guess the sure way of telling is looking at the diff drain plug.

I cant recall offhand but should be over at the van in the next couple of days so will check then aqua-genius, workshops are a big expense, the one the vans in there was big and me and a mate were shelling out £580 a month for it, i was holding a full time job aswell so never really got the benefit of it. I worked for myself years ago as a mobile welder/fabricator and alot of my work was deep sea trawlers but i did alot of cars/tractors/lorries aswell. folk restoring them could have their resto worked on as money allowed, didnt have the hassle of trailoring etc. and through watching and helping furthered their own skills. My customers loved the service and i was a happy bunny doing it. everything you could possibly need will fit in a 110 landie

That's kind of what I thought might happen. God knows what sort of stupid axle/spring combination I've got. The back end is way too high. The rear step is at least 2 ft off the ground! Probably best sourcing an axle with springs. Not that simple though as there's quite a few variations.

dubzi , its quite possible that you will have slipper springs on the rear of your amby, smoother ride for the meat in the back on the stretchers.lol. measure between the spring eye holes , you might be able to use tipper springs like me and lower the van that way. don't forget your amby would have been laiden down with medical equipment so it would have been carrying a fair bit of weight too.

Mega thread resurrection! I don't know what your asking though.
Always cf axles on ebay. Are you trying to find out the ratio or what other axles might fit?
