Nice work, spraying things with aerosols takes forever! Looks like a good job for your 1st time. So what are the plans with Boris then? Crazy rims, 1275GT motor? Or you going to be sensible and just enjoy him?  |

Agree, that is easlily the best result I have ever seen with a rattle can paint job. It looks better than a lot of stuff that comes out of 'proper' bodyshops!!!

nice mini there. top notch work for a first timer. make sure you have a look underneath the front wheel arches to see what the seam is like behind the head lamps. might be worth a wire brushing and some red lead/top coat. rust normally comes through from the back outwards there.
also, if anything goes wrong, its a good idea to check the minispares website for prices then compare to what has been quoted by your local garage.
ATS - thats painful lesson and a warning to the general public - don't go there.

So...when's the manual conversion going to happen? JOKES Nice to know another person from TMF on here. You've made some good progress there, the rattle can repairs look good. I did the bottom half of the rear panel of my min in halfords spray cans after i had to weld the boot floor. It actually came ou with a finish that was better than the rest of the car (crappy paint job courtesy of the previous owner). But just goes to prove you can get a good finish from cans with the right preperation and patience. Also love both wheel combinations, the trims in OEW looked very nice, but those superlights look spot on for Boris Any future plans for him after the MOT? Oli |

I *love* those wheels. Never seen black superlites or minilites with red detailing, they look fantastic. Are they standard or did you have them done?
