Thinking of selling my Volvo Amazon purely due to practical reasons - (mainly being the gf doesn't enjoy driving it!)
It's an early 4 door model 122s - with twin carbs and two tone paint!
(the early models have a few different touches that set them apart from the later ones aesthetically)
At the weekend I fitted,
New engine.
New clutch.
New tail-pipe.
It has,
LPG conversion - runs well and cheaply!
Awesome sound system - installed well without cutting a single panel!
MOT until July
Taxed, but this is free anyway.
I fitted a reconditioned 1600 engine (rare!!) at the weekend - it's covered no more than 1500 miles - all faultlessly!
The original engine works fine - I replaced it just incase something were to go wrong as parts for the 1600 are quite rare, and also to fill a couple of days that I was at home bored!!
So it comes with one silent reconditioned engine and one not so silent, but working original!!
It's a blast to drive, really fun... and it receives a positive responce from all sorts of people all the time.
It does have a few rusty spots around the rear arches and O/S headlamp, but underneath it is very solid.
My next job will be to strip and rebuild the suspension with new bushes and springs if I keep it.
I fell in love with it instantly and I don't want to sell. Infact I wont sell if the price isn't right...
I only have photo's taken by previous owner atm, but will take some of my own when I find the time (minus the surfboard!)...
Here it is...
I'm asking 1500 for it, which is a lot less than what it owes me with the purchase of all the new parts and servicing etc.
