A quick photochop of an idea i've had in my head for a few months now. Not that retro mind, but they have a kinda retro American thing about them. I've nick-named it the ScorpiLow What do you think? Hope for these cars yet? Chris

Having seen Scaryoldcortina's one in pictures recently they're not as ugly as I remember. I think it was the shock of how it looked next to the Grannie when it came out. They're so cheap just now it's worth doing something interesting with.

Lower...... Lower....... L o w e r. You can still get a toe under those sills! I liked these when they first came out. I always thought how American looking they were. I guess I just have a thing for Yanks. Could be made very cool very cheaply and easily.
Just a bit lower tho huh?

I like Scorpios, and I always have, since I have a thing for odd balls. I can't say I'm liking those wheels on it much though, but if you like it that's cool, and I think it looks alright. Just being honest

Cheers guys At first, I thought they were truely ugly... they have grown on me quite a lot though! Hehe, ok, lower: Think air or hydraulics would be needed though, otherwise some serious fabbing would have to take place.. Street's Family dragster springs to mind

Isn't there a lowrider one of those on wires? Think it's green only pic i can find of it ;D 'tis rather cool and i kinda like the old scorpio, especially the cosworth v6 versions, not as ugly as they seemed when they came out. they definitely suit a vip or lowrider look.

Just found another pic of the above one: Kinda cool really, quite like Thomas' idea of a VIP one too. Unfortunately this dream is unlikey to come true for a good few years, I have a feeling insurance would be a killer on one of these babies. Maybe they'll be retro by the time i'm old enough?

I think the guy who owned that was on here. His user name was Scorpilow. Or was that another forum, I forget.

Yah do it that would be nice.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Hey, another scorpio fan I agree it would take serious fab work to get it as low as your pic - I've had the back springs out of mine and it sits higher than that on the bumpstops I did think for a moment that PFchris had changed his mind (and username) again
|
|
To get a standard A40 this low, you'd have to dig a hole to put it in

Masses of potential, these bug-eye Scorps! Pick a minter up for about £12.99 and have some fun with the Euromerican styling. I really like the green Scorpilow - didn't he sell it in the end? Great choice of car to do that to I think, something away from the norm.

Great choice of car to do that to I think, something away from the norm. Didn't he end up having to break it for parts when it wouldn't sell as a whole. Such a shame as it looked the part...

A VIP Scorpio is in the pipework as a replacement family car. Hopefully it'll all come together.

My ol' mans got a 2.3 Ultima estate as a cab, looks pretty good as is to be honest, interiors on the Ultimas are lovely and they are loaded with toys.

Volvo back as my main squeeze, more boost and some interior goodies on the way.
