Ok starting with great appologies for lack of pictures. Has anyone got any idea roughly what size rims will wedge under my chevette salonn arches with a reasonable slam? Going for the pro strret look me thinks. What gearboxes do people use when running rwd k series set up? How strong are the original 1970's auto boxes if i tune the standard 1300 lump (see pro charger for tune )

I have 14" manta alloys with 195/60 tyres on the van - fine on the back but about a rizla packet away from the shocks on the front. Usual boxes for rwding a K series are ford T9 or something toyota... I did read of someone using an LT77 with a bellhousing sourced from god knows what, but no actual "facts" there If the autobox is anything like the manual it can't cope with the 1256 pushrodder in standard trim. AND it wont bolt to anything else !

To get a standard A40 this low, you'd have to dig a hole to put it in

Yeah was dubious about the gearbox to be honest, keep trying to tell myself to just roll it in style and leave the power thing alone but you know how it is.
How much did you lower the van by? ;D

Cheers for help, looks like with right tyre's and correct spacing i should manage to squeeze 15" or 16" under with a healthy drop. ;D
