When i took mine off i used some thinners on a cloth and wiped it off.Could also try lighter fluid, petrol, nail varnish remover.Just put some on a cloth/rag a wipe over gently.Don't use to much in one go as could damage the paint work.

I used thinners for this also - go easy tho......as it works very well as a paint remover also !

I was going to say lighter fluid as i don't think it damages the paint and it's what viynal sign writers use.

Isopropyl Alcohol and a lot of elbow grease should do it followed by a bit of T-cut to blend it all in

When I stripped the trim off my 240 I used a thing called a toffee wheel, it goes in a drill and rubs off the glue with ease, it would have taken me days to clean it all off with my fingers. (meters of it) it ended up taking about 30 minutes, I was amazed.

There is some stuff you can buy called 'sticky stuff remover' (i kid not) might be a betterware type product - i've used it to clean sticker residue off of interior/glass and its excellent citrus based degreaser works well too! edit... this is it www.desolvit.co.uk/pages/sticky_stuff_remover.htm

Probably find brake cleaner will take it off, WD40 left overnight sometimes softens glue as well.

Panel wipe should remove it with no damage to the paint.

Lynx or any other deodorant aerosol will take it straight off, spray on real close, wipe of - but you need to be quick cause it evaporates in a few seconds and you have to spray it on again. i use it all the time for cleaning guitars that have had duct tape on them. leaves no marks or anything and its real quick.
