Want Want Want!
At what age does insurance on an E30 316 become sensible?

Great pics, I remember that copper one... not sure if it's my cup of tea but pretty innovative! I wonder what it looks like now? Must have oxidised a fair bit more since that pic! ;D Want Want Want! At what age does insurance on an E30 316 become sensible? I've found BMW's to be expensive to insure - quotes for my e34 were three times more than what I was paying for my Benz. I got a half-decent deal in the end but it took some work. I asked one insurer why BMW's were so expensive to insure, and he said that it's because they get stolen a lot.

Gutting. It cannot be that expensive mind because a lad I know - who is a year older than me - had an E36 316i. He sold it recently and bought a Mondeo diesel...

the cheapest insurence quote I've ever had was on a '97 5 series touring 2.0l for around £770, which for an 18 year old is damn good

You're not wrong there - that's damn good. I do hope you're now cruising in a 97 5 series?
