Just seen my so called project being driven away after having no option but to sell it.
Really did not want to but it had to go after a curse word start to the year.
Hopefully i will either get myself an imp or a dolomite in the future once i get myself back on a level playing field.
I will still be on the site though in the mean time

sorry to hear that i know the feeling mate I've been off work after an op and i don't get any pay for it, this has meant the Volvo project has had to have its funding cut meaning it won't get done the way i really wanted it and will also have to be sold once its back on the road . it was either that or sell off the estate and that ain't happening again i regretted selling that one last time hence why a bought it back last year . you just have to chalk it down to experience and hope nothing gets in the way of the next project .

Go for the Imp when you can, you'll never regret it.

I shouldn't worry about it Amigo.....Retro's a state of mind. ;D Right now I couldn't give a monkey's if I never bought another car, doesn't stop me poking my nose in here, spouting the usual inane balderdash....doubtless my Mojo will return at some point.

I know the feeling..........I had it when my Wizard was driven away. & my old Hearse. As Briandamaged said the forum is still here for you to bowse through, I was an avid VW nut but after seeing different motors on here I realise that there's alot of other descent & respectable classic's out there & some are more realistically priced then aircooled VW's (hence the Ford based beast above). Hope you get back to where you need to be soon fella......Personally I'd go for the Imp, great little cars. ;D

keep your chin up blaine, i have sold a few cars in the past when things are tight, unfortunately for most the retro cars are a weekend toy or hobby ,when things are tight they are the firstr thing to go , i treat them as a savings account , if i put the money in the bank it would dwindle away , put it into cars and tat or boats ,i always have some way of releasing a bit opf capital back when i need it, it works for me, did the scooby end up with an RR geezer?
