I am looking for inspiration for my 245.
I really want to roll the pan at the rear,
I kind of altered this photo then penciled round it to make an impression of the thing I want. (because drawing with a mouse is FTL)
I was asking Nightmaresracing and he gave me an idea for how to do it, he said to cut a cardboard sheet out and fold it and cut it up until it fitted right then duplicate it in sheet steel. He said maybe I should make nerf bars for the corners (either hidden or exposed) I think I can manage this.
The whole thing is inspired by a combination of Turbobrickers' Cap'n Bondos 245 and Slammed145s 145 with a bit of Ben Kaplans Beigepwr thrown in for good measure.
Slammed 145
Cpn Bondos, wider is better (what size wheels and tyres are those?)
Bens Beigepwr
I am seriously considering ditching the Volvo Galaxies for a nice set of 17 or 18 x 8 or 9 or even 10 inch banded steels and introducing some spacers and flared arches.
I know I am not going to reach the true heights (or lows) of any of these cars with my silver 245 on stockish suspension but I want to capture their essence, and if I can I would like my 240 to outhandle any modern eurohatch (eg saxo, clio, 106 or golf) and out accelerate the top spec versions too (I'm not far off that with the b230ft @ 10 psi)
I already have 225 profile tyres but would like to go wider, the power is now around 180hp/210ft/lbs
I need encouragement and inspiration.
Please help.
Post pics or give me hints.
Pics don't have to be Volvo, just shaved/rolled with faaat wheels and tyres.
