I've been looking around the internet, thinking alot and listening to the video of blownimps imp and have decided that it would be a good idea to turbo the Locost!! Any reason why not? 10 psi and 9:1 compression ratio should do near enough to 200bhp ;D Adam

Alot!!!!
I don't even have a rolling chassis yet. Designing my own IRS didnt really help speed things up though:( After I have a rolling chassis it should be going pretty quickly though.

GSXR1100 bike engine! It can handle 250-300bhp as stanard and because of the design of the head you can just get a spacer the same design as the head gasket machined to lower the CR. 143bhp as standard they are.

Cool man! I'm not sure how well-suited a car turbocharger would be on one of those engines - they rev a helluva lot higher than your regular four-banger.... would make things VERY interesting!

What turdblowers do they use on bikes? I'd have thought they'd be smaller that yer average T-3 turbo? Might be useful looking at some compressor maps to see what would suit. They confuse the feck outta me so I tend just to carry on blindly with my philosophy of bolt it on and see ( )

They tend to be the same as a car engine because they do twice the revs therefore need twice the amount of air for their size. An 1100 engine doing 12000 rpm will need about the same amount of air as a 2l engine doing 7000rpm (very roughly).
