.... but i'm quite pleased with the results. Been looking for weeks for an oil cooler take off sandwich plate for the 400e which is fitted with an XLD turbo diesel from a Sierra, but to no avail. So, I thought "sod it", found a billet of aluminium and carved this out; A couple of days earlier a chap from up in the village who is restoring a 1926 motorbike asked if I could make him a couple of brass octagonal nuts for the exhaust pipes. The engine is a 1928 J vee twin. So, having identified the thread as 2" x 26 tpi Whitworth form I spun these up; Hope you don't mind the self appreciation, but I thought a few of you might appreciate it !

I always appreciate seeing this kind of skill - and then wish I knew someone nearby who could pass on the knowledge...... I know another RR'er offered to show anyone who could get to him. Wish I'd been able to make it Great stuff - quality craftsmanship
