Hullo all, in a bit of a panic. Imp national down in Dorset tommorow, Imp went 'boom' 2 nights ago (sods law) head gaskets been reduced to turd. Thus going in the mk2 Orion (mk4 scrote) which needs new temp sensor (gauage not showing anything). Picking one up this afternoon but have no idea how to fit it or even where it is located. Local garages all to busy this afternoon to fit it.
Can any body help in the slightest way? Owned one, mechanic?
Any help appreciated.
(I'll delete this pointless non retro post tonight)

Should just be on the front left of the block as you look at it. Just disconnect the wire, unscrew it, screw new one in, reconnect wire i would think Might need to drop the water first, depending on how wet and messy you like it

jobs don't get much simpler than this one i'm afraid.... just unscrew it and screw the new one in.
Its on the front of the cylinder head, near where the top hose joins the engine. I doubt there'll be any other electrical connections nearby, you should be able to find it OK.

Glad you found it! If you had come back saying ‘I cant find/do it’ I was gonna suggest you should specialise in cars other than imps!
