I've been without a toy since i let the Chevette go last year and am currently slogging around in a worthy but dull Mondeo 1.8.
I'm hoping to have some money to spend up to £1k in April on something a bit more fun.
It must meet the following criteria. be able to fit me as I'm 6ft6in, do a daily commute 30 mile round trip, be in the low tax band, prefer 3 door and have tuning / styling potential.
Idea's so far have been MG Metro, Pug 205 XS, Nova SR, Fiesta Mk2 1.4S, Honda CRX but I really need some idea away from the norm that I have listed above.
Come on guys give me a hit list and reason why.
Cheers

citroen AX GT gets my vote - pokey engine (same as 205 XS) cheap, quirky styling and less common than the other stuff.

Can I just say your going to struggle to find better than a CRX as they are awsome cars, had mine since June and done 10,000 trouble free miles on nothing more than servicing and done over 40mpg most of the time!
But how about a Volvo 340? Very comfy, cheap, reliable and you can learn to drift ;D

106s are designed for people with offset legs and childs feet. 205s are good, surprisingly rot-resistant

I'm 6'6" i speak from over 20 years experiance of cars, buy a big merc and convert it to lpg, it'll be as economical as a small car then, be much more comfy and you wont look like a tit getting out of it.

Volvo back as my main squeeze, more boost and some interior goodies on the way.
