Just thought I would say hello. Hello. I will probably be loitering around the readers rides section for a while until I get myself a retro car bought to do a bit on... In the meantime, and though definately not a retro, here's my current mode of transport.. As featured in last months Banzai magazine... Yes I admit I'm a Subaru man, but deep down I am an old Austin, Ford, Vauxhall man, so 2009 will see me back in the fold... For now though, I shall merely be watching.

Read the feature on your Scoob. If you manage something even half as impressive using a retro base car it will be amazing. Put the scooby running gear into something, could make something brilliant.

I like your Scoob.....10/10 for not kitting it up and having gold wheels! Much nicer than the one randomly put in the ooof thread too. Why not get an old 70's Subaru and transplant a 90's prezza running gear into it for your retro?

I'd suspected for a while that Imprezas would look good without a rear ironing board.....you've just proved me right!
Has anyone ever 'euro look'd' an Impreza (without compromising how it drives)?
Welcome t' RR.

Cheers for the welcome chaps. I will not be transplanting any of the running gear out of my current car into anything Retro...I have still got more plans for the Scooby this year. BUT using WRX running gear into a retro subaru could be interesting...
