Prairie with wheelchair ramp conversion to rear. Low mileage. Could also be ideal for wheeling things in like motorbikes. 1.5 so cheap road tax. 5 speed manual. In case you didn't know.. both rear doors slide and there are no B pillars. 76,000 miles. fairly presentable apart from one doorskin coming away at the bottom. I can put a years mot on this because I don't think there is a lot wrong with it, but it has no v5 so you'll have to send off for it. £250 with years ticket.  Any takers? Can sell cheaper without mot if you didn't want to put it on the road yet for example. |

I sell wheelchair accessible vehicles for a living, and this looks like one of the first Brotherwood Praries that were made.
The Prarie was their first conversion, and since then they have gone on to sell cars all over the world and been one of the highest respected converters in the UK.
This car even if it wasn't a brotherwood conversion is worth £750 all day long with a years ticket, I have seen ratty Fiorinos go for £1000 just because they have had a ramp in the back.
Brotherwood themselves may be interested in buying this back as a museum piece at that price you know - worth calling them.
But this could be a very easy way for someone to make £750 - buy it, then stick it on ebay at £1000 BIN advertising wheelchair accessible vehicle.
If I could get down there to get it, I would have it within a heartbeat.
And before anyone asks, nope, don't work for Brotherwood and never have!

erm, please can I have it - it's on my insurance and I'm waiting for my v5c to arrive and will to put test on it before I go and get it? (and I paid a deposit too!)

Just caught up with this thread, Kev, due to some new parts I had to buy to get it through MOT its £300, if thats too much, no problems as I thought it wouldn't need any parts to pass MOT, can you let me know if you still want it at that price (which i think everyone will agree is still a steal) , i presume you don't check your email ? I sent you PM but on the Datsun forum, which has your wrong email address, so perhaps you never got notified that you had a PM?

Hi there, i know this is cheap, but not good form to take a deposit and then up the price afterwards. I think if that was me i would just be swallowing the £50 myself as you originally advertised the car with a years MOT.

True but he knew I had not actually taken it for an MOT and he's getting more value as its a vehicle with new parts on, fitted free. I'm however giving the guy the option of refund deposit. I think I'm being as fair as I can be without actually losing money on it. The MOT guy was being a bit zealous I think because I checked the joints for play before taking it.

Prairie MOTd. new balljoints fitted and now has new flexi brake hose on RH side and also took caliper off and greased up the pads etc. bled brakes. drilled out broken bolt on distributor / dist cap as well.
i've done 30 miles in this thing now, cant believe how nippy it is for such a puny engine. revs so well, exhaust note sounds sporty for no real reason. You'll love this car! the sliding rear doors are ace, i was putting shopping in the car without any worrys of hitting other cars.
The seatbelt arrangement is strange, the front belts are on the front doors. you don't notice any difference apart from if you open the door while your belt is on LOL
Wonder if anyone has ever made one of these into a motorhome?
