;D ;D ;D It probably is me you're thinking of, I'm the notorious Hillman Imp and Weller freak round here! ;D ;D  Thanks for the link, only thing is that I'm sure they wont fit, most Rootes cars used the same pattern as Escorts, but Imps are different, they use a 4 stud, 4 inch pattern, rather than the Escort and Avenger size. That and as I said my wheels are rubbing already, and they're only 13x7 Wellers. |

Food for example. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D I know all about skint, I've got two cars to look after and I lost me job a few weeks back and have yet to find another, look at it this way though.. as long as you don't starve to death.. you'll be able to eat later ;D ;D Isn't that always the way though.. there's been several cars come up for sale since my job dilhemma that just aren't around normally and I'm forken' spooned because I aint got squat money. You could always do what I'm doing though, squirreling away bits and pieces required at no particular pace.. I have all but a few minor things collected to do an L28ET conversion to my car (ie. convert from 2.4litre twin SU -> 2.8litre EFi Turbo) |

See that's kind of what I'm doing, I have lots of things I'm planning on at the moment, but there are more than a few of them I can't do at the moment through budget. I just got a new engine for the Imp lately, so the respray and the rollcage are going to have to wait until the funds appear again. I am going to make a start on the interior soon though, I have the buckets and harnesses in, and the backseat removed, but I need to make a start on painting the interior, stick the chequerplate floor panels in, and make up my own polished alloy door trims and replace the 'wood' in the dashboard with alloy. That's a reasonably cheap set of jobs to do, so I think I'll do them next, and stick a cage in when funds allow. Of course ideally I would've already had an Alleybars cage, but that got stolen from my rented lockup by bloody neds.  Same for my (now scrapped) racer Imp's engine, which was going into the gold Imp until it vanished without a trace because of some burberry rat. |

I'm thinking about it too. Wadya recon sprayed gloss black on my locost?? They'll probably stick out the wings a bit (wings are only 11 inches wide :  . The backspace looks about right aswell. Adam |

Hmm, I've got £60 left of holiday spendature (I left with £80, i'm a tight git  ). I'll have a try and persuade my dad that it is worth travelling to heartfordshire to get a rusty set of steels |

Thanks GJM, that looks like it'd be ideal for the job, the only thing is that it's a bit out of my way, and I don't know if I'd get the opportunity to drive down to West Sussex any time soon, I'm a bit busy at the moment, and he probably wouldn't post it any further.
