Okay time for a bit of a brain dump from people,.. I've got a few bits of body trim I want to remove on various vehicles, each job is slightly different, so I'm curious as to how you would approach them.
a) Side body trim that is "clipped" onto the body. Whats the best way to remove without damaging the bodywork.
b) Glued on rubber bumper protectors. I want to remove them, without damaging the dumper or being left loads of little bits of rubber/glue marks.
c) How do I find out how trim is attatched if it is on the body very very solidly (ie I can't even lift it)??

a) crow bar with your eyes shut
b) peel a tab off grab hold of it then run the other way quickly
c) boot it
then, drop it into a garage with a note saying, "please fix" ;D

you can buy what looks like a screwdriver with a big flat end on it with a groove in it and rubber covering it www.frost.co.uk - these guys do all that the bumpers doodahs take them off if only stuck on petrol or parafin will get rid of the residue left

Clipped on stuff......get the proper trim removal tools don't be tempted to use a big screwdriver... it will end in tears Stuck on stuff.... Hot Sunlight and plastic packing straps... use them behind and "saw" the trim off the body...takes most of the glue off as well, then the best way is just to use your thumb to roll up the glue, any solvent just dilutes it and spreads it around Then just use WD40, thinners, acetone, TFR etc to get the last bit off. Find your local "Brown Brothers" or other motor factors that does body shop supplies and have a chat with them, they will have everything you need HTH Dom
