My Anglias' body is failing miserably in covering its' wheels so I want to fit some JDM style arches. I intend to cut off the original arches, radius them and give them the same profile as the wings. What I need to know is if there are any Japanese cars with a similar side profile to the Anglia, just the general way the sides curve down, that have fiberglass arches made for them. I know it's a long shot but maybe someone sees a similarity and could point me in the right direction. Wheels are 13" diameter with 185/60x13" tyres btw. I'm thinking something like these Corolla ones.Any comments, advice, ridicule would be greatly appreciated.

IMO arches on Anglias look gash 99.99999% of the time.
I'd roll with it as is. They ain't THAT illegal... Do they rub at all?

There's a guy on ebay at the moment who's selling aluminium group 4 arches for Mk1 Escorts & Lotus Sunbeams. Pretty expensive but the profile might be workable. And they look the business.

My prediction is that they "rub like hell" from the looks of the pics, hehe.. Get the arches rolled, bigtime, and you might get away with it

Yes they do rub like hell. The arches have a double skinned flange that points straight down and even with judicious rolling it still rubs the tyres. There's more clearance in the pics due to the axle stands being at slightly different heights so it's a little deceptive but I haven't got access to the other side where the arch is actually sitting on the tyre. Even if I cut the flange completely off I'm still left with an ugly and too big arch so something after market is the way I'm going. JDM is my inspiration but "boso" is possibly one step beyond. Not Escort stuff though, looks terrible on an Anglia imho.

What about 13" mini ones? Some of the Mini specialists have several different profiles.

I've looked at Mini ones and they might fit with a little work but the JDM ones have better detailing imho.

Maybe Mk1 Golf? They were quite nice. I do like them and they do look good on an Anglia but I've been told they're no longer available. The replacement steel arches that is,not the plastic covers.
