This thread has been picked up by a member of the owners club www.the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/index.phpI loved my V8 but not the fuel consumption, mine did a best of 28mpg worst of 15 mpg but typically was around 21 mpg I ran mine for a year and sold it for more than I paid for it. There aren't many cars you can say that about! The V8 is a superb stealth car only a few will realise what it is from a distance until you hear it of course, from the rear only the two exhausts give it away but as many V6 owners fit twins the eagle eyed will notice the diff and negative camber It is not anything like the standard car it has Rear wheel drive, LSD, AP rear brakes, Bilstein shocks (including two on the diff, a 4.6L V8, Tremac 5 speed box, It has a poor AC system though and the gear change can not be rushed, tyres don't last long especially if driven hard or do I mean.......... properly! Hanging the rear out in third is very easy The chassis can take the supercharged power without any mods A really good one went for £6000 recently, my next one will be the Estate.

I'd be more than happy with 28 MPG under any circumstances. Most of my cars struggle to get high teens

I really really want one of these as a 75 model rather than an MG model, an estate version would be perfect. some nice mods for 500 bhp, a few OAP essentials and go off hunting m3/m5's

my dad had a rover75 (diesel) as his company car for three years, from doing some miles in it myself the conclusion was that it had the most comfortable driver's seat I've ever had the pleasure of using sadly the mock-tudor dashboard, orange illumination, chrome bonnet strip and swage lines, sticky-out fake chrome plastic door handles and cream leather interior were truly dire i'd love to have a go in the mg v8 one, Clarkson's review of it on top gear had me in stitches but if I was going to buy one it'd have to be comprehensively de-chromed first. <edit> was going to add, my dad managed to crack the windscreen out of the car whilst "giving it some" round some bendy hill roads in scotland.. at the time he was 4up with luggage and apparently bonded structural windscreens don't like that much body flex

I'd happily roll a ZT-T in any flavour any day of the week.
Sadly MG Rover products fall into the category of 'do not want' as far as my dearly belov'd is concerned.

Just got rid of my MG ZR as it was no longer needed. Great little car though, and I would definitely have a ZT as I think they're really good looking cars. Guessing with fuel prices going up they're gonna get cheaper too, which is good, as long as you don't have one to sell!!
