Where are these available from? Or are they manufactured for specific cars, or genuine old items? Keep seeing them on retro motors, like the Lancer in this months Retro Cars, with a manky old suit case and fancy one.
Funny how reading this mag gives inspiration. I was going to sell the C plate Monego Vanden Plas, but now I'm thinking 2 inch lowering springs and crappy roof rack.

Sweet. There are some on the bay... all for V dubs and a couple of Minis. Something could probably be fashioned out of them though

Cheer mate, it was my little go at keep the aero of the car. It took 3 goes and i killed an electric plane but i got it done! The thing is strong as, if i wasn't worried that the roof would dent where the feet are i'd stand on it. It's not just a scene thing too, i do use it. i helped my mate move and it came in real handy. What i did in 1 load he took 3 loads with a ute when he moved out again.

I went with the homemade version, cheap set of roof bars and a sheet of plywood got me this managed a week camping with kids, dog, wife, tent etc. still got the rack/box and it fits on the Polo. Used to have a nice rack that I found in the back of my dads garage, that was until some bloke knocked on the door and offered me silly money for it to go on his classic ;D

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Know any old people? They've usually got one in the shed/garage/loft from when they had a car with gutters.
