....and with it comes a company car (God knows why, as it's office based). So this means my 280E will be a little, redundant. The question is, should I keep it and do something silly with it (it's too much of a patchwork quilt underneath to ever be considered for looking after), should I just tinker with it, or should I sell it and buy something utterly crazy? What do you lot think? (oh, and before anyone says it; yes, I am planning to just leave it at the bottom of the drive for a month until I know the job is right for me...although, the job is buying cars for a living, so I'm sure it'll be fine!) Oh, and here's a pic of random Mercedesnessessess... Chris

As an aside, why would you want a job with a company car, if you absolutely, positively, don't NEED a company car?
Your just going to get raped in taxes?

Even if you did NEED a company car, you still wouldn't WANT one. Hard bumming from the Revenue & Customs people ahead. An allowance is a much better way, tax wise, plus may enable you to roll round in an old benz whilst creaming cash into the bank. Unless of course, it's a 'pool vehicle' from which you are not deriving benefit in kind. Oh and well done on getting the job. Sounds cool. (Unless you are one of those goons who keeps phoning me up to buy cars for cash-less buyers who are using their 999% apr finance....)

It'll be going in RC so you'll see it's progress. Until then, keep the ideas coming, oh, and have some pics I took today. (I do love borrowing my stepdads camera).
