I fail to see why you would make a film about an oversized bus :S

I watched it on video when i was about 7, one of the first films we rented when we bought our very first video player in about 1984 or something. All i can remember is the actual van, i don't think there was much of a plot to it. I'd like to find a copy of the big bus on dvd as i think my boy would love it. The mini isn't the one in 51st state, its older than that. Think brat pack and you'll be close.

Ha cool! Heres a vehicle I find strangely compelling: It's from Damnation alley....... I can't for the life of me figure out which axle of the three each corner would be driven? Maybe theres a road wheel hidden behind the futuristic tri-wheel affair, but I don't see one. In the film the 3 wheels take turns to be the wheel in contact with the ground, every time it hits a bump the whole assembly spins, if you get what I mean. That would mean that all 3 wheels per axle would have to be driven?? because if they all drove off the friction of eachother they would all rotate in different directions...... Wouldn't they?.... Argh! My brain! I reckon this is where the lions share of the budget went though, the rest of the films' special effects are lol-able

when I was about six we had a family holiday to the States and when we were coming from the airport in LA that Damnation alley thing was just parked up at the side of the road next to the highway. being a car mad child I completely freaked out but I don't think my parents saw it and thought I'd gone mad, ranting about multi-wheeled space trucks
God knows why it was just sitting there...
