As some of you have probably noticed I have a liking for Sierras I was googling for some pics of P100s when I came across this site. It has a couple of pics of Sierra estates with smoothed tail gates which is something I have never seen in the UK, possibly because most people concentrate on Cosworths or Cossie reps The black one got a major ooorf moment from me ;D my favorite colour as well I really need an estate as my next project

The totally smoothed tailgates are the only things I don't like about these. Otherwise they're sweet. I worked at a garage once that had a P100 and we killed it, it really wasn't hard. Never did figure out what went, it just seemed to give up.

Always loved Sierra estates - especially the higher spec ones with roof bars. I've had one in the past, and a mate had a right stonker - a Mk1 Ghia with a 2.1 Pinto, big valve head, single 48 Dellorto, Quaife Pro 'box, Cosworth LSD, hydraulic handbrake, Ashley system, Compomotive MO's and Spax adjustables (I think, they may have been Billies) One of my favourite cars ever that was! www.stufffromthe80s.co.uk/images/ford-sierra-ghia-estate-1983.jpg^^ Apart from the wheels it looked like a slammed version of that, same colour, bumpers etc.

Did they ever do a 2-door wagon? If not, someone should make one! Not that I aware of - I have been thinking about doing a 3dr wagon for a while It needs to use the doors from a 3Dr but I haven't worked out how to get the rear side widows to look right as a 1 piece. They could be done as a 2 piece using the glass from the rear doors, I haven't done any measurments to work out if the glass needs to be cut down though.

Good thread, most estates got used and abuse later in life, though as you know there is a decent following and love of em on FSOC. Not my fave shape, but they look extra special with their quirky features now and probs the rarest form I'd bet. Neat one here from Tatton Park And a corker old man daily seen in Chorlton 2006 TRG is going to love this thread!

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Yes ;D Would like to do it to a MK1, remove the side trims and fit an RS bodykit Keep thinking about replacing the mirrors with bullet mirrors as well - it works in my mind but wether it would work in the really world is another matter. It is all in my mind at the moment as I am broke, it is going to be at least 6 months before I can thnk about a project

My mate has one of these, a 1993 2.0 GT in white with colour coded bumpers and gunmetal 17s. Goes like stink for a big old car! Trying to talk him into slamming it on its belly one day soon Will try and get pics of it later.

That black estate is fantastic! Love it! This thread makes me want a Sierra estate now. I suspect many spent their sunset years being abused as a builder's hack until the ar$e fell out of them

My old 2.8i 4x4 ghia (ignore the crappy wheels on it) one of the best cars I ever owned, wish i'd kept it and bolted a 24v in. photoshopped. Just one I like from the net.
