At the moment, it looks a naff. Done right, as previously mentioned, with some sort of stenciling in satin black it could look awesome. Having said that, it did look quality in gold, probably one of my favorite Sierras around, just looked so right. It will have to look uber mega now to get it right back up there with the best without looking like its trying too hard. Good luck!

my 2p worth...? It's a Sierra, FFS... not a Type 35 Bugatti I quite like it... but then my dream car was once a cammo'd Lada estate... ;D

... the only injury I sustained was a bumped head when I let the seatbelt of without realizing the car was upside down and that's not really the car's fault.

The whole point was that it is a Sierra, and that it was probably mine and a few other people's favourite Sierra in the country lol.
You still got those Wellers Robin?

Matt I feel like I was ignorant to the love of my Sierra ;D It's makes me blush to think I built a car people actually thought was cool? Oh well I guess I'm just going to have to buy another sierra and make it minty fresh again!* And yes Matt I've still got those wellers, which I still plan to reverse fit to the back of the Sierra *Maybe a smoothed Saff this time slammed on some proper dishy split rims

Sierra - here we go again! He has an illness, it's not his fault.

I'm sure we had this discussion before, but IMO it pulled "slick yet understated" off perfectly. It looks a bit "me too" the way it is now. Your challenge is to make it "work" without it looking like its trying too hard, y'kna.

I loved it in gold with the saab wheels, was deffo one of the coolest Sierras around.
But you know, it's only by people actually going out and trying these things that you can see if they are a good idea. I'm not keen on how the car looks now but fair play for going out and trying something.

Have to say when i first looked at this i couldnt believe you had wrecked the car - in my opinion. Feel bad saying that but.......i trust that there is more to come from this and its a work in progress. I took the liberty of doing a little pshop too

It's your can so do what you want! that is the way i treat my galant. i repaint the nose of it every 6 months for so. I copped so much curse word of having checkers on the front. then camo twice then some race stripes. It'll be camo again soon the first 2 times it didn't work and the paint came off.
If it was me i'd do the second one that leigh did. Have fun with it mate. cheers

sorry to dig this up bt ive ony jst found it.
again, i loved this in its gold guise, but when rob first mention hes was gonna slam a golf 4 door seirra over saab rims i thought, thats not gonna work at all, why would u do that.
turns out i was 100% wrong, itd looked awesome
i reckon you must have a good eye for what works and what doesnt, fair enough it needs more paint and different wheels but I'm geniunely looking forward to seeing how this turns out, i think alot of people will be changing their tone once its all taken shape.

Definitely split some opinion there! Well, I like it both ways, and I'm sure you have some more plans for it! Nice wheels, badges back on and something simple down the side, job done! (Well, for me anyway!) Look forward to seeing it done!

Not sure about the green, but IMO the gold was horrible! Not a fan old gold at all!
Having spent much of my childhood with Sierras (my dad had two) and my teens with Sierras (my brother had one and it was the first car I drove legally on the road on my 17th birthday), I have difficulty in appreciating them. I will in time I dare say, as I did with Mk1 Fiestas which I didn't like for a few years but now rate very highly!

The more I look at it the more I think it needs some blinging rims. The Saab rims with the centres black and the rims diamond cut would do the trick I think.

well, i've been having a think...and i think it looks cool! the gold sierra did look amazing.. but.. i think you've done the right thing and done what you've wanted to do, and not what you should have done to keep people on ere happy! olive green looks cool, and what you've got planned i'm sure is way cooler than the usual text book stuff expected of you, or anyone!
nice one you!
