80's Knightrider style body shaped Trans Am (including the right cowl induction bonnet and rear spoiler). With the original V8 305ci small block Chevy motor and rare 5 speed MANUAL gearbox. Although I haven't crawled under to check the numbers stamped on the diff, I believe it also has a LSD (judging by the way it will smoke both tyres if provoked) I bought this car in Sept 2007 for a charity run. On the event, across Europe, it never missed a beat in the entire 1500 miles and even returned reasonable fuel economy of 19mpg on the motorway stretches. The car had been dry stored for 8 years by the previous owner and needed a lot of work to get it road worthy so here is the list of the major new parts fitted: Clutch kit & bearings Battery Alternator Front brake pads Rear Brake shoes Front flexible brake pipes Valve lifters Push rods Front bottom ball joint Distributor cap Rotor arm Chrome aircleaner HT leads Plugs Gaskets etc 4 new tyres The brake fluid, coolant, gearbox, diff and engine oil where all changed before the event in July. The engine is very strong and always starts first time and only needs the slightest bit of choke on very cold mornings. It has an Edelbrock Torker II intake manifold, a Holley 4 barrel carb, twin electric fan conversion (original available) and the aircon has been removed (compressor and rad available). The body is solid but has got the usual car park dings and would benefit from a respray - but still looks presentable for a 24 year old car. The graphics are all vinyl and were only put on recently so should come off easily. Inside the original seats have been replaced with a couple of buckets seats with Willans 4 point harnesses. Overall it is a very solid, reliable car and would be a great starting point for a Knightrider replica, restoration or even a very different track day/drift car. MOT'd until 19th March 2009 , Taxed until end Sept 08. Car is in Worcestershire £2250 ono

Cool car for the Scumball - I did the first ever one in my old Sapporo! Did you get the armour plated merc this year? That's one of the reasons we didn't do it again - because we met up with the organisers adn they were modifying their car to ram someone else... Must have been the coolest car on the rally but had to have been a shed if you stuck to the rules and got it for £500!!! Nice car - very nice car - good luck with your sale
