And the only picture I have of it!
A last minute bid this one. No long distance jaunt, just a ten minute drive down the road and it's sat on the drive, which makes a nice change
(Yes, I do still have the 1500 - it's just parked across the road in in my 'daily' spot
It's a '74 Dolly Sprint Early one, so non-overdrive and has a full-length webasto.
Haven't really looked it over yet to see what I've actually got (too wet) but it seems extremely solid, just cosmetically a bit rough. Runs extremely well though and all works properly, just been freshly tuned. Interior's in quite nice nick as well, although they've hacked holes in the doorcards and 'shelf for speakers. Easily corrected though. They've done a really nice varnish job on the wood too, very pretty.
It's got twin front calipers too! Lowered on sports shocks & dampers, new deep K&Ns, electric fuel pump and a few other things.....Owner said it was reputedly being prepared for rallying at some point! It's a very stiff ride and definitely got that 'driver' edge to it.
Need to check for an LSD, just in case, hehe! Certainly goes some, though, Living up to it's name. Once I've done a few odd things I'll get it on the RR I think, see what it's making.
Does need a few things doing like paintwork, trim refitting and could do with a pair of driver's side doors (as the bottoms are shot) but overall not bad at all!
More in this thread as I find out what it is, what I have and what I'm going to do with it.......Suggestions welcome
