For no other reason other than that I find these desirable. Military stylz: =Cool 80's Horsey-set stylz: =Cool Thug/pimp stylz: =Cool So, a utilitarian go-anywhere land rover alternative, that you could actually bear to use on the road.... OR... a viable, comfy range-rover tow-car alternative... OR... a fierociously fast, discreet luxury beast. Whichever way. I want one. Shame they are so dang expensive. Anyone else feel the same.

I bet a 300GD or 230GE is even more miserable to drive than a LR Defender, but for a lot more moolah. They rot pretty badly too. I would still like to try one off-road, all round diff-lockage y0! Ex-French military Peugeot P4 for obscurity/cheapness/basicness value maybe?

I've seen G-Wagens as low as a grand, but they tend to be pretty rough.

Given how slow my 300D is, a 300GD must be DARN slow! Can you get them with the turbo lump?

Diesel ones are pathetically slow, a stock flathead powered Ford Pop could out accelerate one and they suck juice like there's no tomorrow. Not nice!

LOLz. I guess you have to experience this sort of machine to understand. Standard LR / G-wagon.... slow, bouncy, unstoppable. Posh end.... G55 / RR / Cayenne etc.... amazing machines, despite the terrible image ;D As for the other business, why not. That is all.
