My Mom had one of these when we lived in Jo'burg... got replaced by a 105E Anglia.

I believe it is Citroëns flirt with the wankel Principe, it´s called M35 and has some great stories to it, roamers has it that good customers of Citroën where used as a test panel in the late phase of the development, and that men in driving suits could be seen in the Paris suburbs in, lets say above average speeds early mornings during road testing. Most of the cars where destroyed by the factory them selves, what a shame!

it was a limited run of prototype Rotary engined (GZ) Birotor Ami, it had a code number, and was sent for research and development to some citroen main agents and private participants in france. they had a number painted in the top of the front wing near the a pillar. Most were given back after the testing time, some remained in the hands of the dealers, maybe because the engine suffered wear and they didnt know what to do with the hydropneumatic birotor rarities. One was stripped of its self-levelling suspension and put on an ami super chassis, painted porsche guards red and run with bmw 1602 front seats about 10 years back with gsa polished wheels in the french mag 2CV Magazine.
