Go for it.
My dad also had one of these years ago when he was a school teacher. Said it used to really go.

Made in the days when car bodies were made of thick enough steel to withstand the rust worm for quite a while...
Good luck with that.

but id quite like some v6 ford mechanicals in there too... T'was the original plan for mine, but it went missing before I could pick it up (long story : . At the time BnDs' works had broken a TVR with a Swaymar 3.1 in it. I figured it would be quite entertaining with that in it ;D Bruisercapri bought the lump before I managed to get my mits on the 'E tho. Pity I missed the times when you were trying to give it away, as that shell looks a helluva lot better than mine did when I started prodding it!

Mechanic's rule #1... If the car works, anything left on the floor after you finished wasn't needed in the first place

Good luck with it. My 100E never rotted as much as the later cars and a lot more unbolted and wasn't structural so it shouldn't be too hard to fix

If you seriously want it blast cleaned I can recommend someone who is excellent and reasonable. Keep away from the V6 tho (if Capri) as its way too heavy and not that powerful. A modern Vectra V6 would be a good choice though. The engine bays are tiny on these things though, so you may be better off going for a modern 4 pot instead.

I'll be watching the progress on this one as ive just captured an 100E myself and will be starting a thread shortly (as soon as ive finished jobs in the house that is lol ) I'm still undecided what power to use ,i fancy the idea of 2.0 zetec on bike carbs but i will probably think about that at a later date ,its already had steering rack conversion and pinto lump with 5 speed and i want to see how i can keep costs to a minimum .....good luck!

Does that engine run and is it going back in the car? It hasnt run in a good few years but certainly did when it came out, Its been dry stored and turned regularly and will be going back in (hopefully with a full complement of aquaplane tuning goodies...)
