Okay...here's my view from the afternoon courtesy of the rubbish 2MP camera in my Sony Ericsson and a self taught crash course in GIMP 2. JAPS was a two field affair and quite an important outing for the IPTOC. Despite the weather and despite being relegated to 'Japanese other' in amidst the EA 211s, six of our number turned up and drove onto the podium for the judging. Clive (IPTOC Chairman) was hoping for double figures but this unfortunately didn't happen. Hilton's HBL got second prize in the category though The weather was extremely variable. These shots were taken about 10 minutes apart. Hilton's HBL from the rear. White really shows up the changes they made to the rear of the Piazza from '88 on, with a different rear spoiler, taillamps and a smoother rear end. The treatment on my car is a lot fussier. IPTOC Clive on the podium, being interviewed by the boringest compere in the world First Glanza I've seen that didn't have an Irish registration and wasn't blezzing up and down Washway Road with choonz pumping. K10 based Pao was lovely, and all the rarer for being a manual. Got a lot of strange looks checking this out when there were 8,000,000 Imprezas farting round. What worried me was how scabby my Pizza looked in comparison to the other members' cars. They'd used polish and everything and mine was covered in cobwebs and mud and whatnot because I'd only just got it going again after being sat in my unit for ages. Piazzas get stuck easily ;D The Ford show had almost packed up when I was wandering about, and not a lot that was left did it for me, apart from this lovely beastie that was parked in the Japanese & Performance Compund: Had a Daimler SP250 Dart engine under the hood on an R380, which the owner then informed us had 55 BHP at the wheels Time for a rebuild then? As a parting shot, have a mildly custom Evo 10 that was parked up, on RO JAs with Bride seats. I drove home with it raining biblically and wondering how the hell it cost me £50 to drive 187 miles Least I got my window fixed, thanks to IPTOC Clive. Oh I, and Grado SR 80s rock some
