Hi all
Many moons ago I acquired my provisional license, now as things happen I lost the two bits of paper which come with it. And moved house. I now wish to do my test, of course I need to update my license, but with these pieces of paper missing it affects me completing the full driving test correct?
How would I go about sorting this and how much will it likely cost me.

I would imagine if you contact the DVLA, you could get them replaced for around a tenner. Worth ringing and asking, but be aware you'll get through to a lot of people that will give you different answers.

I've had the run around before, hence asking online, I so far have been told to just re-apply for another license. Or I have to pay over £50 for my license to be re-newed.

If you have a mining helmet with attached lamp, you coul try their website. I would hardly recommend it though.

Is your licence a photocard one? If so you'll have to call the DVLA and get them to issue you with a replacement. You definitely can't do your test without both the photocard and the paper counterpart. You can book the test but the examiner will refuse to take you out.

The theory pass certificate is valid for only two years but the licence isn't.
