I opened this thread hoping you'd have taken a photo of the six pot two stoke. That's the best photo I've seen of it ;D Thank you!

mmm : MMMMMM!: hmm, Carlsson and Blomqvist, two greatest drivers ever! (imo): *shuts laptop, gets car keys, leaves on the next ferry to sweden* LOL WOW that is awesome and I HAVE to go! Problem is I'd HAVE to go in the saab, which means drive north east down to dover, over to calais, down to limousin, pick up the 900 then drive thru france, belgium, holland etc etc all the way up to sweden (ROADTRIP!!!!) it's just SOOO gotta be done! my baby: retrorides.proboards86.com/index.cgi?board=readersrides&action=display&thread=39472Kirsty

Wonder if my 9000 Aero would make the trip now the HG is done?
Where is the closest point to point ferry? Can you get a ferry in the UK to anywhere in Sweden (Scotland onwards maybe), minimise the drive/increase the sleep, get straight off at sweden and drive straight to the museum maybe?

I keep coming back to this photo. Why oh why are new car interiors not this funky? The all look so bland and similar yet here is something really cool. It definitly ought to be productionised without being "blandified" by cost cutters and uninspired marketing people.

Dom - Cheers mate, lifes fine just missing having a car to play with! How was the trip back from France? Seth - cheers, its one crazy car that one and just for you have another pic I do love the rad fan - basically a 50's desk fan! or two Thats the Aero X dash - not as nice as the 9-X (or 9-1) dash but still interesting and I really do wish cars came with interoirs that nice, though things are improving, just look at the Jag XF's mood lighting, and I hear things are going to be very cool and cocept like in the new XJ - but then I would say that being such a Jag fan devilishdesigner - its a Saab Sonnet, bit of a funny looker but cool somehow heres the back - scrapheapchallenge and meatballturbo - ferry from Hull (its a truck one but does take cars) way is about £300 return but takes 26hrs each way! You can go from the south to Denmark in 16hrs but then have an 8hr drive! Best way is Ryanair to Gothemburg then hire a Saab, much cheaper that way too If anyone does make it to this bit of Sweden before September let me know cos I'm out here working for Saab until then - more than happy to show people round, buy a beer etc. Oh and apparently you can get a tour of the factory if you book in advance

Excellent pics! Had a Saab mad teacher in high school, he drove his 93 and Sonnett II to work... liked them then, love them now in retrospect.
