...catch is that they must have a longitudinally mounted engine and drive the rear wheels. Why? becuase I want to put an audi quattro engine in one for something that sounds delightful and goes like $hit off a shovel as well as handling pretty good, too. If anyone knows of a kit car that I could put the engine to (this layout or otherwise) then please say so!
Having owned a Coupe GT5S I realised that it was the engine noise I was in love with rather than the handling of the car or the looks. Originally I thought I'd try to find a replica of an Auto Union Type D as a kind of old-meets-new machine (i.e. with turbo 5 pot power) but I haven't been able to find one. There was a guy on ppcmag's forum (thread here: www.ppcmag.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=188) who sounded like he'd designed and was building something from scratch but as you'll see from the thread has subsequently disappeared! Anyone recognise his profile?
Suggestions please ;D
