Oh well.
another engine has entered the bus and I'm rollin again.
Which is good, because upon removing the oil from the beetle I found some small metal fragments....
hey ho, at least I keep spare engines eh?, still a bit gutted though.

Hey,
Got the bus running again then, sorry to hear about the beetle engine though. Hopefully it will all be working by summer. (When I get back). Ah well, at least you have transport again.

Have you put the GTi lump in it? No fella, I've heard mixed reports about 16v's in wedges, so decided, if I do go alternate engine, it's a late 8v engine that'll find its way in, same as S/African vans have. I just happened to have a good 1900 WBX in stock, so that went in.

My stock is depleating, as I keep blowing things up , but i'm one of those people that soaks old nuts and bolts in coke then puts them in jars, cos you will always find a use for em, and you know as soon as you throw something away, you'll need it. Also got some late front fasty wings in glass, some early T3 fasty windows, and plenty of wierd other stuff that I cannot remember collecting. a bug bear at the momenet is a massive stack of 14" VW bus rims (about 6 anyway) with new commercial tyres on taking up space, I might ebay them later...... I did throw the old engine out though, although I was tempted to strip and oxy boxer it, I decided against it when I realised I've not got room for more curse word.

I might do some pics tonight.
My house is like this.
Garage, drew's hornet, soon to have 1275 metro engine, probably, and minilites.
some wheels outside, and said engine. Golf GTi 16v
Beetle
a gate, to keep it all hidden
Old mans Nissan, along side which on gravel, old mans XJS V12 ;D
behind nissan, either Drew's Jetta, or my Bus.
then we have 2 rented garages, one houses my other beetle, and my polo sits outside said garage.
Garage is full of useless curse word, and some nice bits, like my BAS exhaust, empi 8 replicas in crinkle black, spare engines etc.

I've not got room for more curse word. Tell me about it... Clubman and City at the back of the barn, Neon in front of them, spare bodyshell on other side of the barn, 998 on the workbench, random gearboxes, stacks of random wheels, grilles, fuel tanks, 2 tractors and 3 trailers, bikes, subframes, recently sold a 1275, a 998 and boxes of misc. Oh and the Audi squashed in there somewhere, also got my main Mini in Oxford and the Golf but that's sold now, yay!
