you guys know i fitted a VG30E into my datsun(300zx V6) well it's started to rattle from the top end, I found it to be the hydrolic lifters so replaced them and all was well untill i gave it a little stick and now the rattle is back
So i bought another engine and i'm in the middle of doin the swap and found something a little odd,
the engine is ment to have an oil cooler so there is a adapter plate for the oilfilter. but i not using it (well maybe) but where filter goes there is not a little bearing (preasure valve) it's in the adapter plate.
It's the same on the old engine and i think it might have cause my problem but not sure. I thought that valve was there in the event of the oilfilter becoming blocked it would open and feed the engine with oil?
do i put the adapterplate back on and bridge the oil pipe hoses or try with out again?
