is buying from german ebay any different from the UK? obviously there's the language barrier and postage costs but does it all work the same?
i've spied some tasty 'rocco bits for far less than the uk jokers want for them - they're tasteful styling bits so they're immediately doubled in price here for the rich kids - but a bit unsure whether to start bidding or to hold back....

I've bought two or three things off ebay.de in the past - stuff under a fiver though - and never had any problems. I usually write everything in english then include a babelfish translation into german, tidied up where I can (I only speak a little German). Easiest with paypal

I tried translating techie terms on freetranslation.com but it don't comprendo! ;D

I've bought some stuff of ebay.de, a lot of the sellers will only post to deutchland. I find that if I watch the item on ebay.com.au some of the instructions are interpreted as well as an automatic currency conversion. A couple of things which were marked post only to Germany I emailled the seller and they were astounded that someone would want to pay the postage to Aus. After I say I don't mind I have had no problemos mit my deutch mates.
