That certainly is quite a collection! Wish I’d got as many completed kits to display, not just a big pile of unbuilt ones. The King Size dragsters and the Corgi equivalents are great! I’m a slightly lapsed Superfast collector: As I’d lost the one I had when I was young, I also bought a couple of these cardboard roadways: The garage above is a beautifully delicate little thing by Majorette, only £2 at a toyfair. Also bought some big Convoy truckstop set, plus I’ve similar things from when I was young. All for my son, of course… I was going to sell off some/all of the Superfast collection, but was talked out of it. I bought most of them years ago when they weren’t particularly sought-after.

I’m a slightly lapsed Superfast collector: i recognise a few of them, mainly cos i nabbed an absolute tonne of them from my dad

Loving all the stuff showing up in this thread. I'm still slowly plugging away at my '53 Ford. Not far to go now. I wasn't sure whether I was going to use the factory taillights and now its in paint they look a bit bland compared to the front so I'll be making some bezels to take some bullet lenses I've got. Engine is all detailed now, just the top rad hoses to add. Parcel shelf, bumpers, caps and some more chrome and its pretty much done

Some pictures of my dads old F1 stock cars from the 80's , they are made of beer cans and piano wire , all hand painted and have big electric motors cos there slot stocks . when i was a kid we raced them and my old man race the real one . Photo in the back ground is of the old man racing at Odsal in the 1980's

I'm pretty new to this site and just found this thread, I just got myself a couple of fujimi kits off the bay, Mk1 MR2 and Gazelle RSX. Can't understand why anyone would shop at Model Zone tho, £20+ for a kit? You can get 2 delivered from HK for that price!! On the subject of paint, I had a book years ago with some awesome builds in it, mainly yank stuff scratch built but a tip in that recomended mixing a bit of matt varnish in with your body colour so the paint isn't as shiny. This might sound a bit daft but because of the scale it can make your models look far more realistic than a really glossy finish. Great stuff being posted on here tho, I must get to work!

It is quite ironic, while the big car modellers are making their cars all nice with polish I came across a thread on a model railway forum where tey are getting their small diecasts which are all nice abd shiny and then they aremaking them all matt! m0rris
