Not mine, spreading the word... Hi people, On either late Sunday 18 Feb or early Monday 19th Feb, my car transporter trailer went missing from near Manchester Airport. It is a 16ft Brian James AD tilt bed. The 2 left hand mud guards were missing, but may well have been put back on. The reg plate on it was F791OVU. I'm offering a £500 reward, no questions asked, no authorities for it's return. Like this one: Please either email me on gordon@teamdumzim.co.uk or call 0777 614 5729, my voicemail is checked if you leave one. Or just return it. Regards Gordon

Ill keep a look out for it on my travels. Trailers like these are VERY nickable and thieves will go to great lenghts to pinch one. Theres a very good market for secondhand ones and they are difficult to trace (sorry). A mate of mine had the towbar of his car unbolted and removed when thieves couldnt get the hitchlock off the trailer to steal it. They dragged it away, towbar and all with a big chain to the back of their transit van, all in broad daylight in suburban Birmingham! Sorry I couldnt be more positive , Is it insured?

Unless its been stolen to order then free ad mags and ebay will be the best places to check. Never had a one nicked myself, but my brother in law has had many trailers stolen over the years, normally day time. So easy to sell on second hand and hardly any way of checking them so stolen sell for the same price as second hand.
If he knows the serial number report it to the manufacturer, they will often keep a record of stolen trailers and when people need spares for them they can be traced this way. Doesnt help the bloke whose trailer it is or catch the person who stole it but its about all that can be done.

I think they have a number stamped into the chassis somewhere it cant be removed or altered.
