Well I'm back with the latest RWD as its all I have ;D Collecting this in a week or so to finish off, started as a boggo 2 litre Auto Cavalier until my mate bought it and did a few bits and a 16v XE lump ended up in it. Has been fitted with a Manta 5 speed Getrag box, better axle ratio (1800 Manta), 2 1/2 inch stainless exhaust, Brembo calipers, braided hoses, Lowered Spax springs, Spax adjustable shocks, E30 BMW Alloys with Avon rubber, Central locking, electric windows and full Calibra Black leather. Has been resprayed Porsche Guards red, side bump strips removed and lights tinted. The interior in the pics was a Manta Exclusive one which has since been changed, the last bits need finishing to get it on the road. I'll be getting the windows tinted just a bit to darken it down to keep in with the black roof. Will be getting a dash mounted 6in screen linked to DVD player and 6 disc Changer in the boot, 6x9 infinity speakers in the back, 10 in sub and amp plus door mounted speakers in the front. It lost its XE after oil stavation caused damage so I have bought it to fit a 140 bhp OHC Vauxhall engine from a cav SRi130. This engine was destined for my MK2 Cortina estate but this seems its spiritual home... ;D What do you think of it... be kind ;D

Very nice.
Had a 1.6L years ago with very rusty C pillars.
Used to like the way you could open the bonnet, climb into the engine bay and walk around the engine.

very nice car there I remember seeing that for sale a little while ago but cant remember where. Have to say, XE's are so cheap these days it would be rude not to put another one in, especially if the dead ones in there to swap the necessary parts in, but hey its your car not mine

Cheers for the comments.... Yeah the sunroof is a bit of a shame I'll be fitting a different one as this has red tinted glass and doesnt look right. The 8v will be going in for now but I suspect later it will have anothet XE in there.

Thanks for f*cking with my plans, I was ready to get mine painted black and put the chrome strips back on but this looks that good I`m tempted to turn it into a hatchback replica of it.

That is bloody stunning! Wheels and stance are perfect for the body shape, and the nice clean bodywork completes it. Total stunner! Shame it lost it's XE, but 130bhp aint to be sniffed at! Great work

Fresh. If i'd been allowed i was gonna chase an elderly MK1 Cav owner at Tescos car park last year. I should have done. Very nice

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts
