'Bout time I did a readers ride thread for this. 1.3 litres 61K maz and tolly brownesss I when back home from uni this weekend to collected it from the garage, now with new thermostat and a replacement stud to replace the one I sheared off ;D I also gave it a good service, and rubbed down the bubbly bits on the rear of the sills to bare metal and gave them a good coat of hamerite and waxoil. I even got the head light squirter's going ;D

last one: as for modifications I quite like it standard, but a nice set of wheels would go down well, I quite fancy fender mirrors to, also discovered a mk1 rx7 steering wheels fit so if I could find a brown one.............................. ;D

thats pretty cool, reminds me of a meastro my dad had a few years back, the interior is like a complete copy specially with the green dash/speedo lights, i prefer the mazza tho, you gotta break open the 5wheel silver & lower it, it don't need much else

Nice to see this again, makes me wish I hadnt sold its twin a year or so ago, same luminous brown interior and everything. Nicest gearchange in recorded history oh why the f*ck did I sell it? Once you`ve had a decent 323 theres no going back, you`ll always want one kicking about. Unless Mazda changed all their stud patterns etc. in the mid `80s, you should find that the pentagonal Manta wheels will go on yours, I ran my `91 323 for 18 months with some on, before rather foolishly snapping one of them in a high speed oversteering into a kerb incident. That was the only reason I changed them. This is what they were like, I reckon they`d suit the shape of yours even better.

Damn, you’re right there, I really miss this. I’m chuffed that it has gone to a good home within the R-R fold but I wish I’d had more use out of it first! It’s probably in better condition than the Accord, and maybe that’s part of its appeal – I bought it as an unseen cheapo p/x off a main dealer and it could have been a disaster, yet it turned out to be such a good drive in remarkably tidy nick.
Ace pic’s Mat, I shall save them onto the PC.
This is all making me more keen than ever to try and get hold of that silver one that I see locally. The old lady owner has my number and knows I am interested........

that would look ace on some nice J-style wheels and the wing mounted mirrors would finish it off a treat. Lotus rims would also look FTW!!!1111 !

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Looks great, particularly in the 'posh camera' shots! Used to knock around in one of these about 10 years ago when my mate's Mum had one he could borrow, was a nice little car.

More stuff today on the 323 is now washed, t-cutted and waxoiled! I also tidyed up and painted the wheels. Before: After: I also attacked the bumpers and side strips with a heat gun to get them black again, it really works well!
