been building this beasty up over the last year and nearly there. it's a pretty common conversion in the mini scene so nothing that new really. just wanted lost of power in a small car (and I like minis too) started off as 72 cluuby but I reshelled it with a round nose. now back to clubby to make room for the vauxhall 2L 16v lump, running suzuki gsxr1000 throttle bodies. plan is to paint it 60's almond green

Very Nice....Vaux conversion is very cool. Black clubbys are nice!
Riley wheels look different!
Both very nice minis!

the vaux 2L lump in a mini is an absolute animal, not like the vtec which has to be wound up first. awesome stuff. not sure if i liek the alm,ond green idea, perhaps a black or very dark grey would look nice, but its ur clubby, do what u like with it.

Sorry if this is a daft question, but I've not seen this done. What transmission is used for this engine conversion?

Don't even go there with the black paint thing - i have a golf gti as my daily driver in black and it is a fother mucker to keep clean and shiney. besides, i've already got the almond paint (proper bmc '60 shade). roof might be black or old english white. engine/transmission is as is out of the cavalier gsi doner - 5 speed all the way baby (although i'm not counting on much traction in first gear

Love the plans, an old skool shade should be a bit different and smart.stuffing a 2L in there sounds mad, i guess its nowt new but still well done, and what an animal it will be, sheesh! good to see your going cluby front - my fave. another great project to watch.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

a fresh engine with cams and head work would get near 200bhp rob hall, who makes the conversion kit i'm using has a front engined RWD mini clubman with a 256bhp version of my engine ;D ;D

Sorry if this is a daft question, but I've not seen this done. What transmission is used for this engine conversion? F26 vaux box hopefully. Looks totally awesome and I love the idea. Must have one of these one day.

I really fancy doing a FWD car such as a mini metro polo etc with a motorbike engine in the front, would make for an ace berg cup style car with the scream to go with it!
