Do you label your car keys so you don't stand there messing about with the wrong car/keys?
Awesome collection by the way!

What a killer line up of cars you've got there!!! I love em, just something I don't get to see at all really.
And they're all so nice and tidy as well! Full marks for dedication to the cause!

cheers for the feedback folks, what a friendly site....makes a change to some of the veedub ones filmidget and i frequent. scirocco register and most people on no rice are pretty cool but u should see the moody attitudes on display on some of the others...... the dark blue car is a bit of a tatty mess at the mo', this winters project, and will be the radical retro one of the three in time- nothing maxpower/bling bling don't worry but some subtle changes. the 16v and the scala have both had partial paint jobs courtesy of the guy who paints the phirms cars (u may have seen a two-tone roadster mk3 golf vr6 turbo in some of the vw mags this year- thats one of his too).

wow those are lovely. I always take my hat off to these folk who are total converts to one particular sort of car, like BC for example.
The 16v is my favourite. Why did it need reshelled, was it bumped? Did you use a brand spanker of a shell?
I'd like a late model injected scirocco, if I had one i'd get a bodyshop to take the placca kit off it and weld up the holes so it looked like an early one. Such clean styling.

The 16v is my favourite. Why did it need reshelled, was it bumped? Did you use a brand spanker of a shell? the original car, a gunmetal car built in late 86, one of ten official imports, then modified at some stage to rhd (one of six apptly) by bell and colvill. registered some time later as f368 lpk, the first owner crashed it, got spooked and sold it back to b&c, an old mate of mine then bought it after repair during 1990. full vag uk spec incl- front fogs, side repeaters, electric windows and 160mph speedo plus all usual gtx fixtures. in early 92 it was involved in a roll up in the lake district..... it was reshelled in the summer of 92 using a black rhd 87 8v gtx, acquired the A16 GTX rego' and won scirocco concours at gti international 1993. my original A20 GTX came second to it. then we lost touch, i lived in sydney for a while, A16 suffered a rear end shunt in 97 and was then used as a storage unit until we got in touch again after my return to uk. when mate heard about the A20 drama and my renewed passion for all things rocco, had the rebuilt A20 and the Scala as a so called 'daily' at the time he basically gave me the valver! have spent this year getting her up to spec again, still a bit of tlc required but even though it has delayed the A20 project it means a rare old rocco hasn't been broken up for a golf project or trashed by some boy racer!?! i love them all but the A20 car, the 'beast' is still the most fun! the scala is the 'pretty' car for def and the most comfortable, only 65k miles but the valver is for definite the one that turns most heads on the road......for now! cheers
