Looks great! I quite fancy one of those myself. What's the spares availability like? German and Swedish or Euro Car Parts like for my Golf?

What's the spares availability like? German and Swedish or Euro Car Parts like for my Golf? You can get everything for 'em! Either from MB if you're a wealthy sort, or from GSF / Euro... or the scrappers if yer really skint ;D

OK now I'm really worried that you've lost the plot Hairnet - dish-less wheels on a Merc 123? Are you mad?! ;D Pentas rock the proverbial fat one.

I'm with dean and jack flat wheels are a no no. pentas may be a tried and tested formula, but my reasons for using them are three fold... 1/ive already got them 2/i think they look, ahem, fly ;D 3/theres nothing like my car in the town or around the vacinity where i live, so its something different here. and i like to be different ;D I'm trying to keep the cost down to a bare minimun, so far I'm running at under just under £600. thats gonna go up shortly when i get some tyres sorted.

I know I'm always going on about offset, but offset and dish are not the same thing. AMG flat face and similar rims work well on flat sided cars...like Mercs or T25s. Flat face + big offset = good looks: ps. I'm not anti-Pentas by the way, just wanted to mention the offset vs.dish scenario!

got a nasty sound coming from the left rear wheel. think the camber of the back wheel has eaten the bearing or possibly the hub end of the drive shaft il have to have a look.

problem sorted. it was actually the drivers side rear driveshaft.the cv joint at the hub end was goosed.couldnt get it out no how so phoenixC cut the b*stard off with the grinder. a trip to the scrappy, £30 and a couple of hours and its all tickety boo. getting the tyres for the pentas on monday. rhe rims arent polished and are still a bit gnarly, but i need them on for ripon show. watch this space for pics.

Many years ago I changed my driving style to cope with rising fuel prices; I have now reached the stage where I am contemplating keeping my eyes shut in order to lower wind resistance.
