Guys, been told my Primer Jetta has to go. Particulars: Jetta mk2 1.3 (2G engine code) Painted in Red primer (sills are still original tornado red due to weather, will include paint to do them. I can do them if you want) Big bumpers Golf front Debadged grill Yellow headlights and front indicators GTi velour interior (luxury!) Black 13'' steels with excellent tyres (caps are silver, but will will include plastic primer and gloss black paint, can also do these if you want) Done 125k MoT & Tax til March BAD POINTS: Clutch - bearing a little noisy and biting point is low Idle can be erractic, but this is intermittent Dent under passenger rear light Car drives great, can do 80mph+ all day long. Drop it and space the steels and it will look great. I think £300 is reasonable. I'm at juction 30/31 on the M25 near lakeside shopping centre.

Went in for MoT today but failed on the following:
Nearside rear macpherson strut has excessive movement at the upper attachment Nearside front front suspension joint has excessive movement at a wishbone pin or bush Offside front front suspension joint has excessive movement at a wishbone pin or bush Nearside trailing arm has excessive play in a pin/bush Offside trailing arm has excessive play in a pin/bush Nearside rear rear wheel bearing has excessive play Offside rear rear wheel bearing has excessive play Front headlamps matched pair incorrect colour Offside rear parking brake is not capable of being maintained in operation by direct mechanical action only Nearside brake pipe excessively corroded Rear brake pipe excessively corroded Parking brake efficiency below requirements DANGEROUS Rear sevice brake efficiency below requirements
Can't believe it! Thought it was a good'un. Garage commmented it runs sweet and is sound structurally, that didn't soften the blow as I handed over £45 and it also cost me £35 to insure it for 2 days!! Current MoT runs out on the 26th March.
£150 anyone?!

That's not really a lot of problems when you read through the Jargon. Suspension bushes all round, some brake pipes and a rear brake overhaul would see that right. sounds like most mk2 golf/jettas of that age tbh.

I'm tempted to see if you fancy a deal on my recently acquired MK1 4 door 'L' Golf? I would love to have 2 mk1's!!! Can't do anything with cash my way because I have new wheels going on my mk1 tomorrow and then collies at the end of the month. So I am skint!!!! I've seen your mk1, I'd stick with it. (Speaking from experience here!)
