bloody hell, this is the same guy that f*cked my mate up. he was bidding on this car;

the seller then found out he was a joker (within 2 hours of the bids closing) & agreed to sell it for £450 to my mate, which is what his highest bid was before this muppet came along.

what kicks are they getting out of this ?

I do recall the scam whereby people promise to send you a cheque for the price of the car & the cost of shipping to send it over seas. Well this new version of that screws the ebay process for all parties included.


The Hoax buyer bids for your car, normally a OTT bid. then when you contact them they say, I want to send you a cheque for the car & shipping to "X" country. IF you are not aware, you get the cheque, the car goes. & the cheque gets canceled 2 weeks later, even though as far as your concerened it cleared.

This screws the sellers up due to;
a) if they do give them the car, they will never see the money
b) if like most people you realise this guy is a complete C**t, then he has screwed up your sale, you pay a higher fee to ebay, & you have to contact the 2nd highest bidder if you want to sell it.

This screws buyers up due to;
a) your bidding price is driven artificially high.
b) even if the seller "clicks" as to whats happening, they may not have the forthought to contact you, the 2nd highest bidder, to buy it. And then they might just re-auction it.

as you can see he uses a number system, so probably only has an ID for a few weeks max, before getting another. He also hides his feedback, so unless you actually click on it to see the negative vs positive, you will be none the wiser. Thats 91 potential car sales that he has managed to f*ck up in under 2 weeks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and this is just ONE of these tossers !!!!!!!!!!!


So check any bidders feedback rating properly if it looks too good to be true. & hope that E-bay can do something or put a system in place that can help prevent this...........like button the allows a seller to reject a bidder, or a button that allows a seller to request that only buyers with a minimum feedback of "x" are allowed to bid on said item.
