As per title really - got about 6k to spend, might push a little more for something interesting or spot on. Doesn't have to be a well-recognised car either...or, I guess, a muscle car.......American classic probably a better description!
Must have T&T really, as I want something I can start using straight away and enjoy.
Just wanted to put this out there in case anyone knows of anything interesting!
Not marque or car specific either - if it's got 8 cylinders, runs true and strong then give me a shout!
Thanks!

Aye - got Firebirds on the list as well - but that more respected stuff has quite a hefty tag attatched to it in most instances (damned scene tax )! AMC Javelins too, those are quite sweet. I suppose I'd consider something 80's if it were proportionally cheaper, too...

I suppose I'd consider something 80's if it were proportionally cheaper, too... From the NSRA Forum....dunno if this is the sorta thing you're after. Early 1970 V8 Duster fitted with 340 auto. !970 year had emblem on grill and a flat trunk lid ( no ridge in centre of lid ) It looks like it was restored in the states as a daily driver with lots of new parts fitted for reliabilty, Shoxs, propshaft, Torsion bars, brake parts, radiator , alternator, starter, exhaust etc. It has a 489 case 8 3/4 axle with economy gears for good mpg. The 340 engine is fitted with cast HiPo exhausts, Edelbrock ally LD340 inlet with just fitted Holley 670 Street Avenger carb and K&N element. polished MP R/covers. leccy ign. MSD leads. New 700 amp battery. new recon P/S/pump. I have just changed the Morris 20/50 oil and filter i put in 500 miles ago for Kendall GT1 20/50 oil. The interior is nice and unbutchered with buckets and centre console. front and rear seat belts. original radio still in dash with modern Sony radio/CD under the air con vents. ( air con removed, but have parts ). Tinted glass. Rev counter.oil pressure gauge , and working fuel gauge. California car so body is very solid and straight and was resprayed pale yellow with new vynil roof last year. Ralley wheels with correct 70 centres and new chrome lug nuts. Free tax Nov 08 .... MOT June 08 .... Insurance valuation £9000 With the Holley 670 Street Avenger carb at the Hot Rod Drags it ran 14.9 @ 96mph with the motorway gearing, so will run much quicker in needed. Finish detailing and use as a great classic Mopar or make it faster with a change of gears in the 8 3/4 axle. I lost reverse gear at the HRD's but drove the car home ok. I have just had another autobox rebuilt and have also had a shift kit fitted. This can be fitted with the standard or a higher stall converter by the new owner. I need to get back in the garage to get my Hot Rod back together so the Duster needs to be sold. It's valued at £9000 for insurance. It still has forward drive, but as the supplied rebuilt auto needs to be fitted i am selling it for only £7000 so grab a bargain. REDUCED to £6000 ono for quick sale Cheers Andy Here's the link, I dunno if non-members can access it though. if not, PM me if you're interested and I'll pass your details on. www.nsra.org.uk/newforum/showthread.php?t=1478

ZOMG! I was just looking at that on the Mopar forum but it was up for a considerable amount more! <goes back to read> Thanks for bringing it up - I did look thro' the NSRA today but not obviously deep enough! No reverse though which is a slight PITA - but I'll have a gander anyway

As a bonus, those look like the same trim rings as used on my Galant! So if you lose one, you can have one of mine.

No reverse though which is a slight PITA - but I'll have a gander anyway I'm reading that as it has a spare box & a choice of normal or high stall converter?? "I have just had another autobox rebuilt and have also had a shift kit fitted. This can be fitted with the standard or a higher stall converter by the new owner" Duncan is a guru on Mopar boxes as well ;D
