Decided I want to be burried in my van
recently I've added a set of Merc W123 steels (5.5j x 14) with 195/70's and 175/70's to get that hard as low down front stance.
I've also added a cheapo tacho with white face and shift light, and a 2nd shift light on the door pillar, just for kicks.
Next on the list is fit the split charge so I can chill in the back with the sounds on and the engine off, without fear of a dead battery.
Just waiting for pics now, a mate did some last night for me, so I'll post em up once he emails me them.
But to give some idea, the front is lower than me laying on the floor (it's a wedge remember), but its now got no rubbing issues at all and drives like a car, (T3D shock kit)
It's like a rat rod bus, and I love it.

A mate of mine recently had his impreza 2.0 n/a stolen, he's got it back, but its smashed up really bad, so I may have an engine donor now. As it is, the Don (Hubb's van) would tear mine and Ollies up, he's got the H/O 2.1 DJ, and it goes like stink ;D

racer2, they really are superb little things, drive so much better than the old T2's (sorry HTW), but my only gripe is the lack of power.
Saving is the hard part, but I'm hoping to go subaru this year.

Can't wait to see the 'with new wheels' picture/s
I've got my eye on a very nice but very expensive wedge camper thats for sale locally to me. It currently looks very 'OAP' so the T3D lowering kit sounds very interesting - was it reasonably priced? Also have you any idea where you can get hold of styling bits - I rather like the mean looking twin square headlamped grille?

The T3D kit isn't cheap, but it does the job really well, it was on the van when I got it, as it was the development van used for the kits (piece of history eh?), but honestly, well worth the cashola's, as when this low, they drive like a pig unless done properly.

(sigh) this was mine about a week before i swapped it for the current pooscort. It didn't handle like a pig, more like a bouncy castle. Fantastically slow thanks to 1.6d (non-turbo) 'power'plant. Failed the MOT heroically, but was definitely fixable- i just didnt have the time money or space at the time now somewhere in south wales...

Fantastically slow thanks to 1.6d (non-turbo) 'power'plant. i nearly bought that before you, ended up with a black 'un, 1.9petrol, sold that and bought my current one, 1.6n/a diesel i'm after getting a 1.9TD in there though, i love the things ;D
