ive got a new just run in/hardly any use ford big block 460 that i may be selling soon... all std stuff but can be demonstrated as a runner on the floor with a battery and gallon of petrol.... any one intersted?? si oh yeah and there may be a c6 auto box and a high stall converter in the deal..

Roughly what kinda beer tokens you looking' for? Not particularly interested myself......Maybe........More after a 302 really. 460's a big beastie isn't it?

beer tokens... hmmmmm... now i should really stay off the stuff but..... i will get a better idea of price when i speek to a friend of mine (as its currently half his).. looong abandoned project idea thing... what would you say it worth?? its std but new!! i really havent a clue what to ask for it really... si

Actually black8 I'll deffo give this one a miss - 320+kg of engine would completely fubar the destined vehicle unless I ploughed a few K into handling and suspension modifications. I don't think it'd even fit between the turrets!
Give us a shout if you find a tidy 302 though, I'd snap that up ;D

what stall speed is the convertor? would you sell it seperatly? i need one that stalls at about 3000rpm so i can get the wheels up on launches in my Kitten!!!!

ive just checked and its a tci brakeaway converter 441 000 p/n and its listed as a 2400 rpm stall it only been used a few times on the road... let me know si

how much do u want for it? 2400rpm may be ok. what were you putting the 460 in?

how much do u want for it? 2400rpm may be ok. what were you putting the 460 in? the torque converter is about 280 qud new.. and its only been used for a bout 50 mile untill a manual was fitted (in a friends mustang) so is almost new... i dunno about 110 quid id say would buy it... and thye v8 was to go in a project that me and a friend had (fairlane pickup) but that has been sold and i am concentrating on my sd1 bbf now and thats running a manual so no need for the extra engine and auto boxes... si

Yeah alistair I was thinking that - there's not a huge ammount of room in the bay, also if I'm bitching about mpg's I really don't think tis the engine for me.

And it'd totally **** the handling/steering/ride/braking as well! It'd make it into a straightline, low-MPG, noisy, brutish warrior for sure, but that'd be it ;D Methinks that's not quite what you're looking for
